My latest adult thriller, Tears of the Jaguar, has been out almost exactly a month, and I’m delighted to say that the Kindle edition has done particularly well. It’s nice to have Deborah back out there again, and the feedback has been strong enough that I’m wondering about dropping her into another adventure soon…
I have new cover art for the second in my middle grades series, Darwen Arkwright and the Insidious Bleck, and Ive seen artwork for book 3 as well, though I’m not allowed to share that with anyone yet!
I’m back in the classroom teaching Renaissance drama while trying to finish edits for Darwen III and a couple of side projects. I’m also continuing to do lots of school visits and conferences, including the SIBA conference in Florida where I was awarded the best young adult book of the year award for Darwen! It’s heartening to see independent bookstore people gathered together.
I got to see a wonderful show featuring Liverpool band The Wombats (with The Royal Concept and Morning Parade) in a wonderfully intimate venue in Charlotte. It was marvelous to be reminded of just how thrilling good live music can be. It has been, for me, far too long…
That’s all for now. Much more to update on soon…
